Woody Biomass/Timber Harvesting and Processing Exposition
The Sustainable Resources Institute, Inc., Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association (GLTPA), Wisconson Office of Energy Independance, USFS Wood Education and Resource Center, USFS Forest Products Laboratory, Fox Valley Technical College, Packaging Corporation of America, and Potlach will be holding a "Wood Biomass/Timber Harvesting and Processing Exposition" on August 19th-20th, 2009 in the Hazelwurst Area.

This Expo will involve live cutting demonstrations of timber and woody biomass harvesting/processing equipment from various manufacturers on designated 5-acre sites, with designated viewing areas to ensure safety. All sites will be designated or marked for thinnings and/or clearcuts. Species to be cut will be aspen, balsam, oak, red maple, white pine, and white birch.
Demonstrations will start at 8:00AM and end at 4:00PM on both August 19th-20th, 2009. Shuttle buses will be running on a regular basis from the parking/exhibition area off Highway 51 to the expo site. A food tent will be set up at the expo site.
General registration is $10.00 and full day attendees will be eligable for WI SFI Credits upon request.
