File Multiple Wood Using Systems at One Location Webinar
This webinar will focus on Education and Resource Center funded by the USFS Wood describing a project that was and CleanTech Partners to conduct pre-feasibility studies for 15 sites, with wood energy products being the major emphasis. On 13 of the 15 sites, wood pellet plants would be the initial systems installed. As these wood pellet plants become profitable, other systems will be assessed to be implemented as tandem processes. The other two sites assessed are existing sawmills that would have wood pellet production systems added to their existing operations.

Link California's 2009 Formaldehyde Regulations: What does the new CARB Rule Mean for Wood Products Manufacturers?
The Forest Products Society, Upper Mississippi Valley and Midwest Section, sponsored this webinar in December 2008, featuring key information that will help producers and consumers understand and comply with the new California formaldehyde air toxic control measure. This webinar feature a presentation from John Bradfield from the Composite Panel Association, discussing the background and implementation of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) rule for formaldehyde emission from composite wood products used in manufacturing finished wood products. Denise Van Valkenburg of the Masco Retail Cabinet Group presented information focused on how a secondary wood products manufacturer has addressed the CARB rule and strategies for other companies to consider. Link Webinar: Forest health-Insects and disease in Minnesota
Minnesota DNR forest health specialist Jana Albers discusses forest health in Minnesota. Jana begins with a review of how insects and disease affect forests with examples from fire dependent and non-fire dependent forest communities in Minnesota. She discusses four types of native insects and disease, discusses how forest health has been and will be affected by a changing climate, and provides ecological context for some recent and ongoing insect and disease outbreaks.
